Within reasonable driving distances from the property are beaches such as Strandhill and Rosses Point. Such beaches are well kown for swimming, surfing etc.
The next big town, in this direction, is Sligo-a vibrant shopping and cultural centre.

Nearby castles include Markree Castle near Sligo, Lough Rynn Castle and the soon to be opened Kilronan Castle- all have restaurants and are hotels.
Within 15 min. drive or so is a megalithic complex , -Carrowkeel-. It is on a hill-top in the Bricklieve mountains . Historians say there are a collection of tombs and buildings from one of the oldest village sites in northern Europe, dating back to the late Stone Age.
